In 2002, he graduated (MSc.) studies in zoology at the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. His professional career is dedicated to the nature conservation and environmental protection his entire career, especially in managing positions. He is specialized in monitoring, water protection and communication. In 2002-2007, he worked at the Czech Nature Conservation Agency where he founded and led a Monitoring Department oriented to surveillance of species and habitats according to the EU legislation (Habitats Directive, Birds Directive, Water Framework Directive). He cooperated in the Natura 2000 network designation and coordinated the cooperation with the European Thematic Centre for Biodiversity concerning monitoring and conservation status assessment. He subsequently founded and led several non-governmental expert organizations (DAPHNE CR – Institute of Applied Ecology, Beleco, Nature Conservation Forum, Coalition for Natura 2000). He is Vice-Chairman of the Committee of the Czech Society for Ecology. He lectures on nature conservation at universities, he regularly publishes. He became a consultant on the implementation of EU legislation and the use of natural resources (Romania, Croatia, Serbia) and was a consultant of the European Commission. In 2014, he co-founded DHP Conservation, a consulting company forming a part of the INTERGA Group corporate group nowadays.

Martin Smutny has more than 15 years of experience in the field of SEA and EIA. He acted in 2001 – 2003 on behalf of the Ministry of Environment as a member of the Czech delegation for the negotiations on the UNECE SEA Protocol, he worked as a project manager in the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Easter Europe (REC CEE, 2003 – 2006), and since 2006 he is managing partner in Integra Consulting Ltd. Since 2003 he coordinated – as a project manager or the team leader –over 30 SEAs and EIAs and was involved in a number of SEA/EIA assignments in Central and Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Serbia) , former Soviet Union countries (e.g. Azerbaijan, Tajikistan), and South-East Asia (Indonesia, Vietnam). Currently he assists the UNECE secretariat to the Espoo Convention and its Protocol on SEA as a Project Coordinator in SEA/EIA component of the ‘Greening Economies in the European Union’s Eastern Neighbourhood’ (EaP GREEN) programme, which supports SEA and EIA development in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.

Mr Hosek graduated as Bachelor (Horticulture) from the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and as Master of Science (Landscape Revitalization) from the Jan Evangelista Purkyne University in Usti nad Labem. Since 2002 till 2013, we worked in the Czech Nature Conservation Agency. Since 2005, he was as Deputy Director responsible for implementation of the European Union (including Natura 2000 network and reporting exercises) and for nature conservation documentation incl. country-wide biodiversity monitoring scheme. In 2013-2014, he served as Director General for Nature Conservation at the Ministry of the Environment of Czech Republic.

Currently, he is coordinator the EUROPARC Central and Eastern Europe Section and coordinator of international relations at the Krkonoše National Park Administration. Besides that, he has been working in almost all EU candidate and associated countries as an expert on natural resources use and facilitation (participatory management approach).

Since 2012, he is elected Councillor of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Since 2014, he is elected Council member of the EUROPARC Federation serving there also as Vice-President.

Mr Hošek regularly publishes as (co)author books, articles, guides and policy documents.

Vladimír Rimmel graduated on Mining University of Ostrava, Faculty of Economy (1978). He is trained in Risk Assessment, Environmental Enforcement, Conflict Resolution and Environmental Economics courses. He passed General Training Course for Czech Managers in Great Britain (1994).

He is an Authorized Environmental Impact Assessment Expert approved by the Czech Ministry of  Environment according to the EIA Act since 06/1993. Since 07/2002 provides consultancy as an Authorized EIA Expert approved by the Czech Ministry of Environment for assessment of State Guaranted Exports.

He has been working in environmental protection for 38 years, 10 years from that in VITKOVICE – Steel Company, was involved in environmental assessment of development programmes. Regional EIA Centre was established in 1992 and till now he is its executive.

Mr Rimmel elaborated and/or coordinated more than 100 of the Environmental Impact Statements and Review of EIS, particularly in Industry, Infrastructure, projects in open countryside and Waste. Since 1992 International EIA Conference is organized. Since 2004 he participated in preparation of the Conference „Environmental Protection in Metallurgy“. He participated on development and delivery of a number of other projects in Czech Republic as well as abroad.

Besides the above mentioned, Mr Rimmel is certified sommelier (Sommelier Course in Valtice 2007/2008). Therefore, besides the environmental consultancy, he operates “Castle Wine Cellar” in Klimkovice.

Michal Musil is a project manager and consultant at Integra Consulting Ltd in Prague, Czech Republic. He holds MSc degree in Environmental Policy and Science from the Central European University in Budapest and has more than 10 years of practical experience as an environmental  specialist, namely in in the field of environmental assessment and policy evaluation. Since 2005 Michal Musil has participated in a number (circa 30)  large strategic environmental assessment (SEA) projects in the Czech Republic and beyond, both as a member of expert teams and as a team leader (including SEAs for programmes for EU Structural Funds, national and regional policies in specific fields, regional and local land-use plans, and project-level environmental assessments [EIA]). His working experience involves assignments across Central Europe, Balkans, Caucasus, Moldova, Belarus, Turkey, and South-East Asia. In addition, Michal Musil has participated as an instructor and trainer in a number of capacity-building projects in SEA and EIA. Since 2013 he continues working as an external consultant for the secretariat of the UNECE Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context on activities within the EAP Green programme.

Andrea Šandová has graduated on Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, study program Regional Environmental Administration. The theme of her bachelor´s and master´s theses were Prognostic Method of Scenario Building. She has been working for Integra Consulting since 2015, first as a Project Assistant, then as a Project Coordinator. She participates in the elaboration of the Impact Assessment Documentations, cooperates in the preparation of the Seventh National Communication of the Czech Republic under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and also cooperates on the Climate Risk Assessment of the Brno Railway Node.
